The AI Tool Behind a Viral 3D Dishwasher Explainer
A 3D how-it-works account credits Higgsfield, and Higgsfield's new Content Factory turns one idea into a faceless Short. What it costs, the catch, and how to sell it.
A 3D video about how a dishwasher works shows 8.5 million plays in a screen recording posted on X. The Instagram account behind it says in its bio that its videos are made on Higgsfield, and a post sharing it credits Higgsfield's new Content Factory. In my view, faceless explainers just got very cheap to make, which makes the facts the part worth paying for.
What happened
The post. On October 27, 2026 (Eastern time), indie app builder Alex Nguyen (@alexcooldev) posted a screen recording of the Instagram account @so.thats.how. Its dishwasher reel shows 8.5M plays, next to other everyday-object explainers: washing machines, microwaves, zippers, escalators. He says the videos are "fully edited with AI using higgsfield content factory," that the captions ask viewers to comment a word to get a guide by DM, and that app makers could swap the guide for their app. The play count comes from his screen recording, and I couldn't confirm it independently.
The account. When I checked, @so.thats.how had 95K followers and 20 posts, and its bio reads "Made on @higgsfield.ai," followed by "Want to make videos like these?" So the account openly promotes Higgsfield, and its reel in the recording carries a "Higgsfield Content Factory" badge.
The tool. Higgsfield announced Content Factory on October 22, 2026. According to Higgsfield's launch guide, you enter one "What if..." idea, and it writes the script scene by scene, picks the characters, generates the visuals and voiceover, and edits the final video. Videos run from 15 seconds to 5 minutes, with one to four episodes per generation. It works on higgsfield.ai, inside Claude through Higgsfield MCP (type /content-factory and your question), and in Higgsfield's Supercomputer as a skill.
What it costs
Higgsfield's guide prices a generation by length and episode count, with dollar figures estimated on the Plus plan at $49 a month for 1,000 credits:
| Length | 1 episode | 4 episodes |
|---|---|---|
| 15 seconds | 15.75 credits ($0.79) | 63 credits ($3.15) |
| 1 minute | 63 credits ($3.15) | 252 credits ($12.60) |
| 5 minutes | 315 credits ($15.75) | 1,260 credits ($63.00) |
The catch
Content Factory is built around "What if" stories. A how-it-works video is a different job, because every claim in it has to be true. Higgsfield says so itself: its fifth tip is "a check of every factual claim," and it notes that "medical, scientific, or historical claims in the narration need checking before publishing."
So the AI handles the scenes, the voice and the edit. Someone still has to make sure the pressure cooker actually works the way the narration says.
Here's how you get paid
My opinion, no income guaranteed: sell app makers a how-it-works series tied to what their app does.
- A cooking app gets "how a pressure cooker works."
- A skincare app gets "how sunscreen works."
- You check every fact, keep the sources on file for each video, and fix the narration before anything goes live.
The post's version of the funnel pairs each video with a comment keyword that sends viewers a paid guide by DM, and suggests app makers swap the guide for their app. The videos are now cheap to make. What app makers pay for is someone who picks the right topics, gets the facts right, and ships on a schedule.
