These terms cover 500xengineer.com and the content we publish under the 500x Engineer name (the blog, the Shorts and the daily email). The site is run by Elon Zito ("we", "us"). By using the site, you agree to these terms. Questions go to simsketch@gmail.com.
Using the site and its content
You're welcome to read, watch and share our content. Linking to any page is always fine. Please don't republish our posts, videos or images in full, or present them as your own, without asking first. Short quotes with a link back are fine.
Educational content only
Everything we publish is for education and general information. It is not financial, legal, tax or investment advice. Talk to a qualified professional before making decisions in those areas.
No guarantee of income or results
We teach skills and share what has worked for us and for others. Any income figures, client wins or career results we mention are examples. They are not typical, and they are not a promise of what you will earn. Your results depend on your skills, effort, market and many factors outside our control. Many people who learn these skills see little or no financial return.
Third-party tools and links
We often cover AI tools, services and websites run by other companies. We don't control them, and their own terms, pricing and privacy policies apply. Check a tool's terms before you use it for client work or sensitive data. A mention on this site is not an endorsement, and tools change quickly, so details we describe may be out of date.
The 500x Engineer community
The community runs on Skool. Your membership is governed by Skool's terms together with the plan terms below.
- Free. Free to join. It includes what's listed on the homepage for the Free tier.
- Pro and VIP. Paid monthly plans with the features, price and seat limits shown on the homepage and on Skool when you join. Billing, renewals and cancellation run through Skool.
- 7-day guarantee. Pro and VIP come with a 7-day money-back guarantee. Just DM Elon on Skool (or email us) within 7 days of your first paid charge for a full refund.
- Coaching and calls. Coaching, 1:1 calls, reviews and live builds are offered as described for each plan. Their schedule can move, and we'll tell members when it does.
- Changes to plans. We may change plan features or prices for new members. If a change affects what you pay, we'll tell you before it takes effect.
Community rules posted inside the group also apply. We may remove anyone who breaks them or these terms.
Open-source code and skills
Some of what we share (Claude Code skills, templates and code on GitHub) comes with its own LICENSE file. That license governs your use of that code. Where a file has no license, ask us before reusing it.
Our content and yours
The site, the 500x Engineer name and logo, the videos, posts, courses and other materials belong to Elon Zito unless noted otherwise. Course and premium materials inside the community are for your own use as a member; please don't share or resell them.
What you post in the community stays yours. You're responsible for it, and Skool's terms cover how it's handled there.
Acceptable use
When using the site or the community, please don't:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- harass, threaten or spam other people;
- try to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site or its hosting;
- scrape the site or community content in bulk, or resell access to it.
Disclaimer
The site and its content are provided "as is." We work to keep things accurate and working, but we can't promise the site will always be available, error-free or up to date.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or business, arising from your use of the site, our content or the community. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for a membership in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top. If a change matters, we'll also mention it in the community. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
